Pictor Varietal Wines

 

The Central Valley in Chile is their main wine growing region. It accounts for approximately 80% of the their wine production. The Central Valley stretches about 400 kilometers from north to south. Its large size and variable topography has a broad range of climate conditions, soils and styles.

Vineyards are planted on coastal plains, the foothills of the Andes and at altitudes up to 750 meters.  Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chardonnay grapes are grown across the region.


 

PICTOR Sauvignon Blanc

 

APPELLATION:  Central Valley

ALCOHOL:  Alc. 12% by Vol.

COLOR:  Pale bright yellow color.

NOSE:  Blend of citrus notes, lime and grapefruit.

PALATE:  Fresh and crisp wine with citrus notes mixed with floral touches.

FOOD PAIRINGS: Excellent as an aperitif and pairs well with   salads and seafood dishes.


 

PICTOR Chardonnay

APPELLATION: Central Valley

ALCOHOL:  12%

COLOR:  Bright golden color.

NOSE:  Intensive tropical fruit notes, such as pineapple, guava and mango, along with subtle notes of honey in the finish.

PALATE:  Pleasant, smooth   sensation on the palate with a well-rounded creamy texture and very good acidity.

FOOD PAIRINGS: It pairs very well with white meat, such as  chicken, pork and turkey.


 

PICTOR Merlot

 

APPELLATION:  Central Valley

ALCOHOL:  12%

COLOR:  Dark violet color with reddish tones.

NOSE:  Pleasant complexity of black and fruit aromas.

PALATE:  Generous with ripe sweet fruit flavors.

FOOD PAIRINGS: Enjoy with pasta dishes, stews, white meats and grilled fish.


 

PICTOR Cabernet Sauvignon

 

APPELLATION:  Central Valley

ALCOHOL: 12.5%

COLOR:  Deep ruby red.

NOSE:  Chocolate and vanilla with ripe black fruit and spice aromas.

PALATE:  Smooth, rich and well proportioned with complex currants, black and red fruit flavors.

FOOD PAIRINGS: It pairs very well with mature cheese, grilled meats and flavorful dishes.
